Christmastime and Conference at Disney World - Quick Trip
Feeling all the Joy
There is nothing like Disney World at Christmas Time to bring a sense of Joy and Magic into your heart.
I had the opportunity to go to Disney World for a conference and decided to extend my trip for a couple of days to help the cost of my plane flight to make sense - okay, also to stay at Disney World Longer! It was wonderful to meet people face-to-face after months of interacting online, feel the excitement of a group of women coming together to learn and grow their small businesses, and have an opportunity to take part in some new experiences. I don’t take for granted any of the experiences or opportunities I get to take part in because of this small business of mine. I appreciate each and every family who has entrusted their vacation to me. I love sharing my knowledge and experience with others, and I look forward to caring for the travel needs of many more families in the future.
During the conference, We stayed at the Yacht Club Resort, which is my favorite resort at Walt Disney World! The laid back atmosphere, large rooms, and magical views make it my true home-away-from-home. There was no time for the pool this trip - plus it was a little chilly - but Stormalong Bay is, hands down, the absolute BEST pool in all of Walt Disney World. With a lazy river, sand-bottomed water area for kids to play and build sand castles in, and a GIANT life-sized shipwreck waterslide. When I’m here with the family, there are always full pool days built into our itinerary to explore the many nooks and crannies. My room faced Crescent Lake and the Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort. The sunset views left me craving an Orange Slushie (IYKYK).
I have to admit that I only made it to two parks while I was in Walt Disney World: EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. The Christmas decorations were plentiful, especially the Christmas Trees, each with its own unique charm.
I participated in two “new to me” Enchanting Extras during my trip. The first was a Dessert Party during Luminous, the Symphony of Us Nighttime Spectacular in EPCOT. The show takes place in the middle of World Showcase Lagoon and features lights, dancing fountains, water projections, music, and fireworks. The show can be watched from just about anywhere around World Showcase making it one of the least stressful shows to watch with the family. We watched the show in an area between the “Port of Entry” and “Disney Traders” shops at the entrance to World Showcase from Future World. Tables were laden with desserts from around the parks, including hand-dipped Mickey Bars, churro bites with dipping sauce, “The Grey Stuff,” Mickey Truffle Pops, and so much more! Plus, of course, hot chocolate, coffee and tea. I will definitely attend again the next time I get an opportunity. The second “new to me” experience was the Savor the Savanna experience in Animal Kingdom - click the link to learn more about this fantastic offering!

It was a whirlwind trip filled to the brim with new and familiar experiences. I had the best time thinking and learning about how to continue to thrive in my business of making magic for families all over the world.
