Intrigued? Keep reading, it’ll be worth the virtual trip.

Meeting your Tour

Meet your tour at the Curiousity Animal Tours Booking Centre kiosk across from the entrance to the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction at Disney’s Animalk Kingdom Park.

Special Access to the Savanna: A Wild Welcome

Your two-hour journey begins with a trek into the heart of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, a world away from the usual theme park hustle and bustle. Here, amidst the rustling grasses and scattered acacia trees, you’ll find some of the savanna’s most secluded and awe-inspiring viewing spots. As the vehicles of the Kilimanjaro Safaris— one of the most popular attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park— travel by in the background, your transport stops on the savannah for a closer look at the animals and a talk with one of the animal care experts who work with the animals every day. And, keep your eyes peeled, you may recognize the animal care expert from the Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Disney+!

Ask Away!

Your guides are ready to answer questions about any of the animals you see on the savanna; they’re prepared with a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and the special care they receive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.

Multigenerational Perspective

Children must be at least 8 years old to participate. Guests using ECVs must be able to transfer to an available wheelchair to board the safari vehicle and to access the Boma, where food and drinks are served. Tour guests traverse the savanna in a rugged safari vehicle that will experience bumpy and uneven terrain, however, the short walking paths available in the Boma are well maintained and easy to traverse, and can accommodate wheelchairs. The highlights of the tour are seeing animals, in-depth conversations with animal care experts, and sampling foods that, although may not be “new,” are prepared with spices that may not appeal to all palates. Consider having kids prepare one or two questions ahead of time to ask the animal care experts.

Premium Eats, Drinks, and More: A Culinary Expedition

While you’re busy soaking in the scenery, don’t forget to savor the flavors as well. This tour isn’t just a feast for the eyes; it’s also a delight for your taste buds. Enjoy a selection of African-inspired cuisine, including dishes such as cheese, fruit, charcuterie, curried chicken salad, tandori shrimp, olive salad, roasted red pepper hummus, and breads, thoughtfully paired with regional beer and wine offerings. Plus, there’s dessert! It’s like a mini culinary safari, right there on the savanna.

You will enjoy nibbling on delicious bites while a gentle breeze carries the distant sounds of the savanna. It’s a multisensory experience that will make you wonder why every meal doesn’t come with an elephantine backdrop.

So, dust off your safari hat, check your camera’s battery, and get ready to see the savanna in a new light. Book your Savor the Savanna experience online today and prepare for an adventure that blends wonder, wildlife, and, of course, delectable eats. Because every explorer knows the best way to appreciate nature is with a side of gourmet cuisine.

Souvenir Time!

At the end of the tour, each guest was given a bamboo coaster to take home!

Because adventures this exclusive do tend to fill up quickly, advanced reservations are required. Just a heads-up: theme park admission is a separate requirement, along with a theme park reservation.
